Great gastronomic events to attend in Bordeaux bordeaux fr

Les épicuriales

Bordeaux is a wonderful place for gastronomic pursuits. Every year, some great events take place and celebrate food. Les Epicuriales is an outdoor party of gastronomy that will take place from June 9 to June 24 in Bordeaux city center. Several short-lived restaurants set up for 15 years of delicious meals, after works, culinary activities … in a friendliness atmosphere!

Bordeaux S.O Good

From November 17 to 19, Bordeaux S.O Good gastronomy and lifestyle event will celebrate the specialities of Southwest France (S.O. = Sud-Ouest). Bordeaux S.O Good is the festival of epicurean and gourmet food. It acts as a 3-day theatre of the French art de vivre and the country’s south-western gastronomy. Several chefs will be cooking with local products in different iconic heritage sites throughout Bordeaux. A farmers and fish market, an abundance of different foods, and a delicate tasting of 7000 gourmet dishes cooked by a collective of chefs will all be presented throughout the festival.

Bordeaux Wine Festival

The leading wine tourism event in France Bordeaux Wine Festival takes place every other year. From June 14 to June 17 2018, Bordeaux will once again be the world wine capital. The 2018 edition will be exceptional, as it will welcome the tall Ships Regatta, big sailboat race. Lovers of great wine, fine cuisine and culture are invited to take part in this four-day festival on the waterfront and explore the world’s most beautiful châteaux in the surrounding vineyards.

Programme: 2km wine trail for exploring the 80 appellations in Bordeaux and Aquitaine, as well as meeting winegrowers and shippers. Visitors need one essential item to set out the wine trail: the tasting-pass, entitling them to tastings at each of the pavilions. Visitors also have the opportunity to continue their introduction to Bordeaux wines with a Vineyard-pass that gives access to château tours leaving from the festival site. A full programme of art exhibitions and activities each day will conclude every evening with a sound and image show, followed by a firework display. In 2016, this unmissable event gathered 650,000 visitors!
