5 self-guided walks around Central Paris is a beautiful and unique guide book around central Paris that includes  over 300 photos and some 600 references of things to see, places to eat, sit and enjoy.

The idea for the book came from Wallaby, International Rugby Board Member, Sydney Cricket Ground Trust Director, Ross Turnbull. Ross was also an unabashed ‘Paris-o-phile’. It was finalised, designed an publish by his widow, Caroline Turnbull and two friends, Brent Carswell and publisher Jaqui Lane.

5 self-guided walks around Central Paris contains five walks that can be split into 9 shorter walks. Stroll through St Germain de Pres then on to Notre Dame; visit the Place de Vosges then the Palais Royale or get lost in the Marias. Each walk starts with a detailed map with directions, suggestions for restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and secret gardens to rest your feet.

It also shares details of some of Paris’s famous and infamous residents – from Napoleon, Rodin, Gertrude Stein, Talleyrand, Danton, Voltaire and many more.

A portion of profits are being donated to Chris O’Brien Lifehouse cancer hospital and the Bill Crews Foundation, two charities close to Turnbull’s heart.

5 self-guided walks around Central Paris has been designed to fit into a handbag or backpack. It has a soft-cover and is 180 pages.

It’s the ideal Christmas present, and can help you become familiar with Paris well in time for the 2023 Rugby World Cup and 2024 Olympic Games, but which time the Paris Walks team aim to have two more volumes published.
