Paris Zoological Park (Zoo de Vincennes)

Paris zoological park reopened 2014, after over two years of extensive renovations. The new “zoo de Vincennes” features some of the most beautiful ecosystems of the world: Madagascar, Patagonia, Guyana, Europe, and Sahel-Sudan.
The park has been completely rebuilt as part of the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle project. The zoo has been designed with the animals in mind, and a focus on preserving endangered species and biodiversity.
The 14.5-hectare site, with about four kilometres of walkways is home to over a thousand animals and 179 species. Where possible, the animals cohabit, a large, lethargic manatee with huge tropical fish, zebras with rhinos, while birds fly freely.
The zoo’s 16 giraffes, some with park lineage dating back to 1934, stayed during the transformation. Among them, the famous Adeline even has a twitter account where she comments on what she eats.
