The Forest Festival is to be held for the 27th year in the heart of the forests of Compiègne and Laigue, one hour away from Paris. From June 20 to July 16, 2019, this must-see festival of Hauts-de-France will not fail to surprise its visitors once again!
Halfway between a music festival and a stroll outdoors, the Forest Festival reinvents the concert style and forges specific links between art and nature. For this occasion, children and adults will "bathe in musical nature" to live new experiences.
An eclectic program open to all
The 2019 edition includes symphony concerts, chamber music and "young audience" concerts, as well as meetings with the artists and beautiful hikes in the heart of the forest during musical pauses.
Thus, the Forest Festival proposes a double immersion, both in classical music and in nature. "Pre-concert walks" are characteristic of the festival and a great success among music-loving walkers. Guided by an expert in a certain theme (history, botany, nature, singing, etc.), the concert spectators surrender to the show by walking around in the middle of the trees: an original, sensory way to approach the music that will follow.
Musical journeys at the Forest Festival
In addition to "pre-concert walks" arranged during the festival, meditation enthusiasts will be able to enjoy "revitalization musical walks" organized from April to October, 2019. Inspired by Japan's Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing), this experience is known for its benefits for the body and mind. This is an excellent time to revitalize yourself and reconnect with the world that surrounds us.
Harmony and well-being are part of the program of the Forest Festival, which has attracted some 10,000 spectators in 2018. From June 20 to July 16, 2019, we will be delighted to dive into the musical program of this unmissable event of Northern France—it's a new sensory experience to revitalize yourself!
