Jazz in Marciac Festival

The marquee set up for the event welcomes up to 6,000 spectators.

Created 40 years ago in Marciac, in Occitania, this festival is one of the largest in France, taking place this year from July 27 to August 15.

Since its first edition in 1978, the Jazz in Marciac festival has established itself as one of the biggest festivals in France, boasting a program that could turn the best halls in the world green with envy.
Thus, the small town of Gers (1,200 inhabitants!) will welcome Marcus Miller, Gregory Porter, Melanie Biasio, Melody Gardot, Hugh Coltman, Fatoumata Diawara, Erik Truffaz, Selah Sue, Joan Baez, and Carlos Santana this summer.

An sideshow experience

A giant tent, with seating for 6,000 people, is erected every year on a sports field for the duration of the festival to host the big concerts. The "festival off" (sideshow acts) multiplies the concerts on the Place de l'Hotel de Ville to complete the program.
