Fly in the footsteps of Jules Verne
During last year’s Parksmania Awards, which recognise the best shows and attractions in the theme park world, Futuroscope received the ‘Best European Attraction of the Year’ award for “The Extraordinary Voyage”, launched in December 2016. This attraction enables visitors to ‘fly’, with feet in the air, over the four corners of the planet on a journey inspired by Jules Verne’s 80-day World Tour.
Live the space adventure of Thomas Pesquet
Since last winter, Futuroscope has shown an immersive film dedicated to the space adventure of the most famous French astronaut, entitled “Dans les yeux de Thomas Pesquet”. From his pre-departure training to his last minutes aboard the International Space Station, Thomas Pesquet shares his adventure with real talent as a narrator in this 25-minute film. Day after day, the astronaut keeps his diary in pictures, expressing his thoughts on the beauty and fragility of the planet, and on the place of man in the universe.
Drive like Sébastien Loeb
Promising a heart-in-the-mouth experience of the emotions and sensations of this world rally champion, Futuroscope’s new attraction the ‘Sébastien Loeb Racing Xperience’ opened in April 2018. Using a process that combines simulation and virtual reality, the visitor can feel the shaking of the road thanks to its dynamic bucket seat, whose movements synchronise with the action. Nothing is omitted – neither the smoke of controlled slippage, nor the stress of losing the antidote vial he has to keep in his hand, nor the accelerations amplified by sound and wind effects.
Have a finger in the pie
Co-creation is a new form of experience developed by the park to create more links between its visitors. At Futuroscope, you can create a giant collective fresco (“The Extraordinary Voyage”), make a tree of your ‘dreams of the future’ by writing all your desires on a post-it (“Future Expo”), and compare scores with various sporting challenges. Whether in the shoes of an astronaut, an explorer or a blind person, visitors are invited to transform themselves and take an enthusiastic look at the future.
