The thermal spa town of Bagnères de Bigorre, a stage in the 2019 Tour de France, has anointed many great names in cycling, like Raphaël Geminiani, winner of the first city stage in 1952, and then his protégé, Jacques Anquetil in 1963. It was a memorable win for Anquetil, as his first mountain victory.
