The Pyrenees, a well-being destination

From Cahors to Perpignan, via Nîmes and Tarbes, the south of France has everything to seduce and pamper you. For a spa treatment or simply for a few hours of pure relaxation, we take you on a tour of spas and thermal baths dedicated to well-being.

The region has 31 thermal spas and more than 10 thermoludic centres (often associated with the thermal spas).

Relaxing in the Pyrenees mountains...

We have selected some remarkable centres for you. All these establishments are located in the grandiose natural setting of the Pyrenees or in the sunny calm of our countryside. They all benefit from a privileged environment conducive to rejuvenation and relaxation.

- Balnéa

Balnéa, the region's pioneer spa centre, is nestled in the Pyrénées. Located in the magnificent Louron valley, on the edge of the Génos-Loudenvielle lake, and surrounded by a string of high peaks with eternal snow, Balnéa takes you on a journey through the world with its Roman, Amerindian, Japanese or Inca baths: these different universes, in turn peaceful or playful, make Balnéa an ideal place to relax and enjoy with the family.

- Les Bains du Rocher in Cauterets

Les Bains du Rocher are another reason to discover Cauterets, a renowned spa resort in the Hautes-Pyrénées. A place of relaxation and fitness, this spa centre lives in osmosis with its mountainous environment. On the mountainside, the Bains du Rocher slightly overlooks Les Cauterets and offers a most serene atmosphere, on the edge of a splendid beech forest.

- Luchon

The Luchon Forme et Bien-Être space houses two little wonders: a round and majestic relaxation pool, associated with a natural underground vaporarium dug into the mountain and unique in Europe. In this exceptional environment, which is both a pleasure and a discovery, you will relax in contact with the thermal water of Luchon, one of the oldest and best known spas in the region.

Its vaporarium, already used by the Romans, consists of a network of underground galleries over 150 metres long. The sulphur-laden thermal water from deep in the earth filters through the rock walls, releasing steam that fluctuates between 38°C and 42°C. The relaxation pool is open to the mountains through a curved glass façade.

- In the countryside

Enjoy another way of immersing yourself in the benefits of thermal water with the wellness areas of Castéra-Verduzan, Lectoure and Barbotan in the Gers or Cransac in Aveyron. You will then be able to combine a wellness session with the art of living typical of the region while exploring the thousand and one riches of the local heritage, between preserved villages and postcard landscapes.
